The parish is located about 28 km away from Naharkatia on the road to Moranhat. The closest town is Rajgarh and is surrounded by Tea gardens.
History of the parish. The parish was started by Fr. Andrew Vadakumpadam in the year 1980. Till then it was part of Naharkatia parish. Bishop Robert Kerketta installed Fr. Andrew as the first Parish Priest of Nilmoni on the 20th January 1980. At present the parish has about 4200 Catholics spread over in 16 substations. They are
