Location:

Margherita is situated 95 km east of Dibrugarh in the civil district of Tinsukia, beyond Digboi. The Ledo colliery is nearer to the parish. 

History:

Mary Help of Christians Church, Margherita, was started by Rev. Fr. George Mukala sdb in 1976. The parish was run by the Salesians of Don Bosco till the year 2004. It has a high School and a boys’ boarding. Sisters of Charity of Maria Bambina (SCCG) run a Grihini school and boarding for girls. The Vincentian Fathers started the work of preaching retreats and conducting adorations in the parish in 2008.
